English Debate Competition
5th Consecutive Win in Jalandhar Sahodaya Competitions – Woodlanders make their mark in English Debate Competition
Debate Competition hones the public speaking skills of the students and teaches them to articulate their presuppositions eloquently. Postulating their thoughts and deliberating their opinions on the topic “SAY NO TO HATE SPEECH”, our fervent and persuasive Woodlanders i.e. Neharika won Second Prize and Srijan Kumar Sharma of Grade-12 won Consolation Prize and enamoured the jury in Jalandhar Sahodaya English Debate Competition which was held on Monday, 18th December 2023 at Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara in which 60 students participated. The session was a kaleidoscope of opinions, thoughts and perspectives that enhanced the knowledge and understanding of the potential future of human beings. Unsurprisingly, the competition led to a wide spectrum of contrasting views – from being heralded as an inevitable future, to being poorly perceived as a positive and doubtful future due to a severe lack of critical infrastructure and technology. Felicitating both, our exuberant Dean Dr Simerjeet Kaur communicated that competitions like these help the students to think critically and gain unparalleled knowledge. She congratulated the Woodlanders for possessing great Oratory Skills and marking their presence with their emphatic arguments with righteous facial expressions and voice modulation.
Congratulations to the Promising Orators !!!
