Woodland Overseas School Wins Prestigious “Most Eco-Friendly School” Award!

We are thrilled to announce that Woodland Overseas School has been recognized with the Most Eco-Friendly School Award, honoring our dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility amongst 4200 schools in various categories Nationwide. Our campus is a model of eco-friendly initiatives, starting with a state-of-the-art Rainwater Harvesting System, which collects and conserves rainwater, promoting water efficiency. Additionally, the school has a Sewage Treatment Plant that treats wastewater for reuse, significantly reducing our environmental footprint.

The lush greenery on our campus, home to around 300 varieties of plant species, fosters biodiversity and creates a vibrant, natural atmosphere for our students. Our building is designed to be energy-efficient, utilizing natural light to illuminate classrooms while being fully ventilated, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and air conditioning. Moreover, our comprehensive Waste Management System ensures that waste is segregated and responsibly disposed of, aligning with our commitment to reducing landfill waste.

In recognition of these efforts, we also secured First Prize at the Nature Fest, an event that celebrates environmental initiatives, awarded by the Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur. These achievements underscore our ongoing mission to lead by example, creating a greener, more sustainable future for our students.
