Woodland Overseas School, Hoshiarpur has achieved a remarkable victory at the 69th Punjab State School Games 2025–26, gaining wide recognition for its outstanding performance in judo, karate and taekwondo. The school’s students competed with discipline and determination across Under‑14, Under‑17 and Under‑19 categories, showcasing strong skills and sportsmanship at both district and state levels.
Meharpreet Kaur secured third position at the state level and first position at the district level in judo, earning a gold medal for her consistent performance. Satvik Sharma and Karanpreet Singh Chahal also clinched district‑level first position in judo, each winning gold medals through rigorous training and focused preparation. These achievements reflect the school’s emphasis on structured practice, regular coaching and character development through sports.
The winning students were honoured at the state‑level prize‑distribution ceremony with gold medals, certificates and special sports kits, in recognition of their hard work and the pride they have brought to Woodland Overseas School. The school’s leadership credited their success to sustained effort, disciplined routines and the expert guidance of the coaching team, which has helped prepare students for higher‑level competitions.
