Two Golds, One Bronze and 2nd Runner up Overall Trophy in CBSE National Judo Championship

Desire dedication determination concentration and will to win —made the complete recipe of our three Woodlanders who brought laurels to the school in CBSE National Judo Championship held from 18th To 22nd November at Saharanpur. Kanwarpreet Kaur won gold in U-14 category girls with 2nd Runner Up Overall Trophy, Akshita Sharma won gold and Anubha won a bronze medal each in U-17 category girls also sharing the 2nd Runner Up Overall Trophy at the championship defeating 800 participants from 193 schools. All the shining Woodlanders were acknowledged at a gala assembly in the main assembly ground of the school by our visionary Managing Trustee Mr. Mandeep Singh alongwith the insightful Dean Dr Simerjeet Kaur with medals certificates and trophies with cash reward from the schools’ side as an acknowledgement of their efforts.
Appreciating the hard work of our dedicated Woodlanders our far sighted Managing Trustee Mr. Mandeep Singh remarked that once a champion is always a champion and Woodlanders have the spirit of doing better than the best and competing with themselves that always keeps them a step ahead. Addressing the gathering Sir mentioned the importance of planning, executing and also taking a follow up.
Elated at the performance, versatile Dean Dr. Simerjeet Kaur said that there is always a motivation of wanting to win but champions need attitude with motivation to win and our Woodlanders have the right balance of attitude and motivation which helps them to achieve laurels. She congratulated the winners and wished them luck for their future endeavours.
