Dussehra Celebration – 2024

Dussehra, the festival celebrating the pious life of Shri Ram, was observed with great enthusiasm and reverence at the school campus. The entire school was adorned in vibrant decorations, reflecting the festive spirit of the occasion.

A special program began with a soulful bhajan recitation by the Woodlanders, creating an atmosphere of devotion and spirituality. This was followed by a mesmerizing “Vijay” dance performance, symbolizing the victory of good over evil, and a thoughtfully crafted skit that highlighted key moments from the life of Lord Ram, drawing parallels to the values practiced in today’s world.

The celebrations culminated in the symbolic burning of Ravana’s effigy, representing the triumph of righteousness. In a unique and meaningful gesture, each Woodlander used this moment to symbolically burn one personal vice along with Ravana, pledging to eliminate it from their lives permanently.

This act not only celebrated the traditional victory of good over evil but also encouraged self-reflection and personal growth, making the festival celebration deeply impactful for the entire school community.
