First Prize in State Level Abacus Championship
Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.
Shivansh Nanda of Grade V participated in the State Level Abacus Championship and won First Prize in the competition. Abacus is believed to improve concentration, memory, and mental calculation abilities and the championships are held worldwide to promote this ancient art and recognise the talents of young abacus learners in which Shivansh impressed the judges with his exceptional speed and accuracy in solving complex mathematical problems using the ancient tool. He completed the required tasks in record time and secured the top position among all the contestants.
Congratulating Shivansh on his achievement, exemplary Dean Dr. Simerjeet Kaur said that Mathematics is not merely a set of formulas and calculations but a language of logic and creativity. Shivansh’s mastery of this language through the use of the abacus demonstrates his exceptional aptitude for critical thinking and problem-solving. She added that may his success inspire us all to pursue our passions and strive for excellence in all that we do.
Heartiest Congratulations!!!
