Grand Gurupurab Celebration – Threads of Unity: A Dramatic Weave of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Wisdom
Woodlanders commemorated Gurupurab with great enthusiasm and devotion at the school assembly ground, embracing a day enriched with spirituality, talent and unity. The entire school community gathered to participate in an array of meaningful activities that embodied reverence and joy. The esteemed guests, including Chairperson Ms. Trilochan Kaur, Managing Trustee Mr. Mandeep Singh, and Dean Dr. Simerjeet Kaur, honored the event with their presence.
The day commenced with a Saropa Presentation Ceremony, a significant tradition acknowledging the commitment, generosity, and leadership of the distinguished guests. This act of appreciation motivated others to embody the core values of the school. The serene atmosphere was further enhanced by the Prabhat pheri, a captivating dramatization of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings on social cohesion and the soulful Shabad Kirtan, where students demonstrated their understanding and devotion through hymns and sacred recitations, deepening their connection with Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings. Awards were also presented to the winners of the Dastaar Bandi competition, recognizing their cultural participation.
An inspiring moment unfolded as a Woodlander artistically created a live painting, showcasing their talent during the gathering. The Ardas unified everyone in contemplation and gratitude, emphasizing the virtues of humility, harmony, and service taught by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The celebration concluded with the distribution of prasad, leaving a lasting sense of peace and shared values.
