Jalandhar Sahodaya Podcast Competition
The global disruption to education caused by the COVID-19 pandemic is the worst in recorded history. Education disruptions resulted in unanticipated online synchronous/asynchronous classes worldwide beginning in April 2020. Remote learning, a less-travelled path, has been adopted by schools worldwide to overcome adversity and build resilience. Jalandhar Sahodya launched an International Project Mission ROAD2RECOVERY to recover the impact of COVID-19 on learning and behaviour, with the future of a generation at stake.
A competition to create a podcast was launched as part of this project. Our Sanguine Woodlanders Saanch Khurana and Manya Gupta created a podcast titled “Socializing with my friends at school daily is the Road2Recovery from the COVID Effect.” The girls won the consolation prize out of 29 reputed CBSE affiliated schools from four districts: Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Nawanshahr, and Phagwara. On Friday, May 6, 2022, the competition was held at Kamala Nehru School in Phagwara.
While praising Woodlanders’ achievements, Principal Ms Puja Dhiman stated that achievers always put their minds on autopilot and convert all positive behaviour into reflex action, resulting in stupendous achievements. The affable Dean, Dr Simerjeet Kaur, emphasised in her congratulatory note that Woodland has provided numerous platforms for students to improve their technological skills, confidence, and overall personality.
