Joyous Baisakhi Celebration
“May you come up as bright as the sun, as cool as water, and as sweet as honey. Let this Baisakhi fulfil all your desires and wishes.
We at Woodlands believe that learning is not restricted only to books and instruction rather the main aim of the school is to embed in the children the values and ethos of all the cultures and communities. To make the children aware of the spring harvest festival in all its essence, the Woodlanders from Grade 2 to 5 organised a Special Musical Assembly for celebrating Baisakhi on Wednesday 13th April 2022 in the main assembly ground.
The entire school campus was decked with Phulkari and flowers along with items depicting the heritage of Punjab. The Woodlanders came dressed in colourful Punjabi outfits that added to the feel of the festive occasion.
Diligent Principal Ms Puja Dhiman appreciated the participation of all the students and highlighted the significance of Punjabi culture.
Virtuous dean Ms Simerjeet Kaur reminded the students of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters in Jallianwala Bagh Amritsar and mentioned that we are enjoying our freedom as an independent nation only because of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.
May this Festival bring prosperity and joy with bloom. Wishing you a very Happy Baisakhi!!!
