Woodland Overseas School has added another glorious chapter to its legacy of sporting excellence with a spectacular performance at the CBSE North Zone Judo Championship 2026, held at HD Public School, Baland, District Rohtak, Haryana, from 17th to 21st August 2026. Demonstrating exceptional strength, discipline, determination and competitive spirit, the young Woodlanders brought immense pride to the school by securing an impressive tally of 3 Gold Medals and 2 Bronze Medals.
Meharpreet Kaur (Grade 9) clinched the Gold Medal in the Under-17 Female category (Above 70 kg) and qualified for the CBSE National Judo Championship 2026. Rohani Rana (Grade 5, Gulmohar) secured the Gold Medal in the Under-11 Female category (Below 35 kg) and also earned qualification for the national championship. Adding to the golden glory, Jaivik Sharma (Grade 4, Kachnar) won the Gold Medal in the Under-11 Male category (Below 25 kg) and qualified for the CBSE National Judo Championship 2026.
The school’s medal tally was further enriched by Saatvik Sharma (Grade 4, Venus), who won the Bronze Medal in the Under-14 Male category (Below 35 kg), and Keshav Hari (Grade 4, Kaner), who secured the Bronze Medal in the Under-11 Male category (Below 35 kg).
The outstanding achievement of the three Gold medallists, who have now qualified for the CBSE National Judo Championship 2026, marks a momentous milestone in their sporting journey.
