A seminar on the “Role of Youth in Sustainable Development” was recently held at Woodland Overseas School, with Ms. Komal Mittal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur, as the esteemed Chief Guest. The event brought together an impressive lineup of speakers who shared their invaluable perspectives on the critical role youth play in driving sustainable development.

Mr. Atul Sharma, Associate Vice President of Sonalika ITL Group, discussed the intersection of industry and sustainability, emphasizing how young minds can innovate to create greener solutions. Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, SDM, spoke passionately about the critical need for youth involvement in policy-making and local governance to ensure a sustainable future. Ms. Amandeep Kaur, PCS, Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur, highlighted the importance of civic responsibility and youth engagement in building sustainable communities. Mr. Srijal Gupta, Managing Director of Caledonian International School, Pathankot, shared his insights on the role of education in nurturing environmentally conscious future leaders. Additionally, Mr. Sanjiv Kumar, President of NGO A4C, Dasuya, provided a grassroots perspective, illustrating how youth activism can lead to tangible environmental and social change.
