WOSMUN’25 offers a diverse range of committees, each addressing critical global and national issues. Choose your challenge and make your voice heard!
 

UNSC CTC: Counter-Terrorism Committee

Agenda: Deliberation on regulating the use of drones by Non-State Actors to prevent terror attacks, with special emphasis on the Middle East. This committee will tackle the complexities of emerging threats and international security.

LOK SABHA: Indian Parliament

Agenda: Discussing the need to re-examine India’s reservation system, with special emphasis on the "creamy layer" concept. Delegates will engage in a nuanced debate on social justice and economic equity in India.

UNDP: United Nations Development Programme

Agenda: Discussion on the impact of conflict-induced displacement on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This committee will explore humanitarian crises and propose solutions to uphold global development targets amidst displacement.

UNHRC: United Nations Human Rights Council

Agenda: Deliberation on respect for human rights in conflict situations, with special emphasis on child rights. Delegates will address the protection of vulnerable populations and accountability for human rights violations in war zones.

UNGA SPECPOL: Special Political and Decolonization Committee

Agenda: Deliberation upon evaluating and reforming UN peacekeeping operations, with special emphasis on current conflict situations. This committee will critically assess the effectiveness and future of UN peace missions.

Shark Tank: Pitch Your Vision!

This committee has no set agenda or portfolio. We invite you to pitch your own innovative ideas and solutions to a panel of "sharks." Unleash your entrepreneurial spirit!

The Model UN Experience

Model United Nations (MUN) is an engaging extracurricular activity where students step into the shoes of delegates to the United Nations, simulating UN committees and global diplomatic processes.

Skills for Success

MUN hones essential skills including in-depth research, persuasive public speaking, structured debating, and articulate writing. Participants also develop critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities, preparing them for future challenges.

Recognition and Awards

At the conclusion of most conferences, delegates who demonstrate outstanding performance and leadership within their respective committees are recognized and suitably awarded for their contributions and efforts.
